pTOONs

Less setup. More drawing.

pTOONs is a free 2D frame-by-frame animation program for Windows.

I’m an independent animator, and I originally started building pTOONs around my own workflow. The idea is simple: keep the interface focused, avoid unnecessary complexity, and spend more time drawing and animating.

What can you do with pTOONs?

pTOONs is still in active development, but it already has everything needed to create complete frame-by-frame animations from start to finish. The essential drawing, animation and editing tools are ready to use, along with project management and multiple import and export options.

Free to use

pTOONs is completely free to use, including for commercial artwork and animation.

There are no subscriptions, accounts, paid features or DRM.

If you find pTOONs useful and want to support its development, you can optionally leave a donation. The amount is entirely up to you.

Current status

pTOONs is still in active development. Some features are unfinished, and bugs are possible.

Feedback is very welcome — especially if you find something confusing, inconvenient or broken.

Windows Portable

No installation is required.

Download the ZIP, extract it to any folder and run pTOONs.exe.
